Twenty years
in the shop.
I design apparel graphics and I know how they get made — every station from art to the box. Most of my career was spent building and running production for brands in motorsports, action sports and streetwear. Then I went to film school, and the video, animation and on-camera work on this site is what came out of it.
Now I run Elanel Make & Motion: heat-press apparel and caps, DTF, laser, video — and the house brand, ewhaus. The client websites in the Web section each began with an online-presence audit of the business: listings, handles, booking and contact paths, checked from the outside before the first screen was designed.
- 2003–2007 Taught myself screen printing on a one-color manual press at 17 and printed for bands, schools, clubs and car dealerships out of my grandparents' garage, plus my own label, Heart Reck. That work is what got me the K&N job.
- 2007–2015 Built and ran K&N Engineering's private-label apparel department from an empty room: equipment, floor layout, line identity, seasonal collections, race-team and event merch (Long Beach Grand Prix, SEMA, Formula Drift, NASCAR, Laguna Seca). ~25,000 units a year at peak.
- 2015–2018 Co-owned Suburban Apparel Group, a contract print and embroidery shop on an M&R 10-color automatic; clients included Skechers and PAI's Naked Juice program. Sold my half to my partner to go to film school. The shop still runs today under a new name.
- 2019–2022 Chaffey College — AA, Film & Television Production, with Broadcasting & Cinema certificates in Screenwriting, Motion Picture Production, Television & Video Production, and Post-Production Editing. Film school is why a print guy has a short film, spec commercials and animation on this site.
- 2018–now Elanel Make & Motion: freelance apparel and video — three Etsy shops (roughly 5,000 orders), music videos for producer Trey Dojaa, interview sessions for National Charity League, wedding films, spec commercials. Waited tables at The Heights for five years to keep the lights on while doing it; left in July 2026 to do this full time.

- Web Static sites on Cloudflare Pages, Google Business Profiles, and written online-presence audits for local businesses.
- Production Separations and film, screen printing (spot, process, discharge), embroidery, woven labels, DTF and heat transfer, packaging and fulfillment.
- Motion Video production, timelapse and speed-art edits, animation.
- Management Managed multiple screen-print shops; shop layout for production flow; equipment sourcing.
